A Skin Savior

I'm so behind on the bandwagon. Seriously. This stuff  became popular at least a year ago and yet I've only just delved in and bought it! I think it was one of those cases where everyone was using it so the more I kept hearing about it, the more I kept thinking 'can this thing just go away now!' Don't ask why, I'm weird at the best of times. 

Anywho, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I apologize now to my face for not introducing Liz Earle to you sooner. What a blimmin amazing cleanser. 

For those of you who perhaps don't know how this works, you basically massage the creamy formula into your make-up which starts to break the make-up down. Now, I was scared to rub this over my eyes. The smell is really refreshing but quite strong so I think this made me scared that it was gonna sting like a bitch. However, I can assure you that it doesn't! Literally, it doesn't irritate my eyes at all even when it is smeared all over my eyelids/lashes and I have my eyes open. Once you've had fun with how crazy you look with your make-up everywhere, you take one of the Liz Earle Muslin Cloths and rinse this under fairly hot water and start wiping off the product. Your make-up honestly slides off with it. I've never come across anything that takes my make-up off so effortlessly. Even the most stubborn make-up such as the Benefit They're Real mascara comes off with no problem at all. The Muslin Cloth also acts as a gentle exfoliater therefore it lifts away dead skin cells leaving your skin so soft just like a baby's bum.

After using this cleanser, my skin looks brighter and just squeaky clean. It's so refreshing.

To top this off, the product boasts naturally active ingredients so your skin is treated to a mixture of chamomile, cocoa butter, rosemary and eucalyptus essential oil. The cocoa butter is added to moisturize whilst the other ingredients 'tone, soothe and purify.' Who doesn't like the sound of that?! 

After just over a week of using this product, I have noticed a difference in my skin. My make-up sits better and any red patches I previously had seem to have calmed down. My skin feels softer and after using it, I always feel so much fresher. 

The starter kit includes a 100ml bottle of Cleanse & Polish and two Muslin Cloths and retails at £15.50 in Boots.

Sanctuary Spa Luxury Bath Float Review

After the rather amusing revelation that my Mum had used up all of my Sanctuary Spa Bath Soak whilst I was away at uni, she has kindly replaced it with what she calls 'an even better bubble bath' - instead of the bath soak, it is the bath FLOAT! I started imaging the orange formula inside just sort of floating on top of the water (I believe firmly in 'does what it says on the tin'!) Anyway, in this case - it didn't float. It created tons of bubbles just like the soak does but apparently, this product is more concentrated! So I ignorantly poured quite a substantial amount in as I like lots of bubbles - little did I realize how many there would be! This product really is very concentrated - which is a good thing I guess as it will last longer unless you decide to put half the bottle in like I did... (Slight exaggeration but I did use an excessive amount - I'll know for next time)

Anyway, it is described as having 'irresistible skin-softening ingredients & a sensuous oriental fragrance for the perfect long, hot soak.' It definitely lived up to this - my skin feels super soft after an hour long soak (disregarding the fact that I had to rinse myself for about 5 minutes to get all the bubbles off me!) I don't really know how to describe the scent - it doesn't smell fruity to me but I read somewhere that someone thought it smelt quite citrus-y. I'm not too sure about that but what I can say is it smells sort of luxurious if that is even a way to describe a scent?! At £10.00 a bottle, you get 500ml of bubbly goodness and I definitely think this is worth the price.
