Bargain Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

I've said in a few of my blog posts now that I seriously love argan oil. It has to be one of my must-have products that my hair is truly grateful for! So when I came across an argan oil shampoo and conditioner for only £1 each which were recommended to me by a friend, I had to try them out. As every beauty addict will know, argan oil and moroccan oil is pricey so I was kinda skeptical about using these as I was adamant that they just won't be as good as the 'real' argan oil products out there. Truth be told, they aren't as good which is no surprise what with the extremely low price. BUT, I really enjoy using this shampoo and conditioner and find them to really make my hair soft and fly away free. Plus, the smell is gorgeous!

I bought these in Bodycare and I haven't seen them anywhere else but they are possibly in other low price drugstores which I just haven't been in. I do really recommend trying these out if you are a lover of argan oil and want to find a cheaper alternative. Of course, I still prefer Moroccan Oil products as nothing else works as well on my hair for keeping it nourished and in good condition. Like I always say though, I like to try out new things and obviously when an argan oil product is available for £1 I'm not gonna ignore it!

If anyone has tried this, let me know what you think!

KMS California - Worth the price?

Hello!
It is coming to that time of year in the UK where the weather is getting hotter and the Sun is finally making an appearance - yay! If you're anything like me though, the blasting rays can make your hair very dry and very frizzy so a hair savior product is essential to keep your locks in a healthy condition! Now I absolutely swear by the Moroccan Oil range as I've previously mentioned in an older post - despite the expensive price, I really think it's worth it as it makes my hair look/feel healthy, shiny, soft and in good condition. It's always nice to try out different products though so I've recently returned to a hair care range I used to use all the time which is KMS California. My hairdresser that I've gone to for years swears by these products and has sold them in his salon since I can remember so I have started using their Moisture Repair Shampoo, Silk Sheen Conditioner and Silk Sheen Leave-in Conditioner.

As I have curly hair where each strand is very fine, my hair can often get tangled and messy if I don't use a good hair product.  I've found that the Moisture Repair shampoo helps to keep my hair manageable and in a good condition and I can't even describe how soft my hair feels afterwards! On top of this, the smell is absolutely gorgeous and lingers on my hair too which is a bonus! After using this with the rinse-out Silk Sheen conditioner, I was able to run a comb through my hair with no trouble at all. It made my hair look healthy and shiny along with the leave-in conditioner which is very lightweight and doesn't feel sticky on your hair in the slightest.

On www.lookfantastic.com, you can purchase the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner at a price of £16.83 each which I think is a good price considering the size of the bottle (750ml). The leave-in conditioner can be purchased at a price of  £12.75 on www.feelunique.com for 150ml however I don't think the bottle is going to last very long for a person who uses the spray every day.*holds hand up*

Has anyone else used any KMS products? I'd love to know!

Spring Primark Haul!

Primark and I have a love/hate relationship; either I go in and find a wardrobe full of stuff that I love or find absolutely nothing and leave severely disappointed. When I ventured into the store a few days back, I found myself picking up a few bits that are cute for Spring time and even for the Summer  months which are quickly approaching!

Apologies for the poor quality! I only have access to my iPhone camera at the mo!!
From left to right:

Hot pink smock top: I picked this up on the reduced section which always makes me feel extremely satisfied in Primark to get a cheap top even cheaper! Maybe I'm a cheap skate. Actually no, I prefer bargain hunter! This top was originally £6 and I got it for £3 so evidently, I couldn't just leave it behind even if it could do with being slightly bigger on me. Not sure if this will still be available so have a rummage through the reduced section girls!

Tan Sandals: I saw a random pair of these cute sandals chucked on the floor (standard procedure for Primark, right?!) and ended up scouring the entire shoe section to find these as I loved the simple detail with no gaudy jewels that a lot of Primark sandals seem to have this season. Eventually I found them and put them straight into my basket. For £4, who can resist another pair of shoes?

Patterned Collar Blouse: Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE tops/shirts with collars to the extent that I get mocked if I buy something without a collar! But I couldn't leave this, not when the pattern is so gorgeous. It immediately caught my eye especially with the cute tie knot which I thought would look great with shorts for the Summer. This cost £5 which I was surprised by as the material is so soft and feels lovely unlike the cardboard feel Primark's tops often obtain!

Peach Flower Skorts: Skorts are massively on trend at the moment. I've not owned a pair since I was about 15 so when I saw the gorgeous peach colour with the lovely flower pattern, I immediately picked them up. They are high waisted with a delicate zip up the back so would look great with a top tucked in. These cost £7 and I think they are going to be one of my favourite Summer items this year!

Has anyone else found anything they love from Primark recently?

Review: Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara

After hearing so many good things about this mascara from various beauty guru's on you tube, I couldn't not go out and purchase The Falsies Mascara. Maybelline claims its fans out lashes from corner to corner to make lashes appear visible and I can honestly say, this is one of the best mascara's I have ever tried.

The wand is what Maybelline describes as a 'spoon brush' so it manages to grip every single lash and as result, every lash is coated. It really lengthened my lashes and fanned them out beautifully and after one coat, I was pretty happy with how they were and didn't feel the need for another coat.
Creepy eye pics to follow...

I feel like this is going to be my new favourite mascara! Has anyone else tried it?
I 100% recommend!

FOTD!

This evening I took my Mum out for dinner as a belated birthday treat as her actual birthday fell on my dissertation deadline - typical right? Now that I'm free from uni work (yay!) we tootled off to Frankie & Bennys for what is my greatest love at all - food. This deep love meant I completely forgot to take pictures and dived straight in but hey ho, a burger is pretty standard and not necessarily photo-worthy! I wish I could say I'd ordered something more fancy but I'm just not into the whole fancy food thing; I know what I like and I stick with it hence the plain burger dive-in situation. Anyway, as we were only going to Frankie & Bennys, I kept my make-up simple and went for black liquid liner with nude lipstick - some may see this as fabulous, others may see this as completely boring and unworthy of reading but if you've made it this far....I salute you!

Review: L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Privee

I feel like I haven't blogged in FOREVER! I've been so busy with finishing my degree that I've had no time to myself to do anything productive other than battling with my dissertation, essay writing and exam revision. Finally I've reached the light at the end of the tunnel and have finished uni forever which is the strangest yet most liberating feeling ever. Hopefully this blog post isn't too boring but I want to talk about a lipstick I have been LOVING recently and by loving I mean wearing-it-every-day sorta loving...
*drum roll*
L'Oreal Collection Privee by Eva in the shade Eva's Nude (Barely Golden).
Slightly confused at first as the shade on the packaging simply says Eva's Nude as seen here...
...yet when I looked online, the shade is apparently Barely Golden nb2. Don't know what that's all about but the shade is definitely EVA'S NUDE in the Boots store unless I'm completely mis-reading this.
Anyway! I picked this up in Boots a couple of weeks ago (3 for 2 wahoo!) after constantly passing this collection and debating whether to treat myself. I have a ton of nude lipsticks and my way of thinking was 'do I really need ANOTHER plain old nude lipstick?' The answer clearly was yes, of course I do. So glad I did! This shade is a gorgeous peachy, nude tone and it actually smells like talc powder which I didn't think I'd like but once I smelled it in the shop, I immediately loved it. It smells like it belongs a high-end brand and is SO creamy and lovely and mmm - can you tell I love this lipstick?

I have found it lasts for hours and doesn't fade quickly like a lot of drugstore lipsticks so high-five to L'Oreal for that one. At £8.19, it is quite pricey for a drugstore lipstick when a lipstick from MAC can be bought for £4 extra but this really does level with the quality of brands such as MAC and I really recommend it.

Has anyone else bought a lipstick from this collection?
